-: The mission of CCS is to coordinate and encourage the study of contemporary China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia on the Berkeley campus and to support scholarly activity in the full range of China’s historical experience.
-: CCS covers all areas of China studies with a program of extracurricular activities.
-: In addition to lectures and colloquia, CCS convenes an annual symposium, and organizes smaller conferences on key issues, inviting national and international specialists to confer and share their research.
