Main Activity Of Children’s Safety Network
-: CSN is part of the Center for the Study and Prevention of Injury, Violence, and Suicide within the Health and Human Development division of Education Development Center, Inc.
-: CSN’s mission is to reduce injuries and violence among children and adolescents by strengthening the injury prevention infrastructure within state health departments.
-: CSN works with staff in: state health departments; Injury prevention programs; Maternal and Child Health (MCH) programs, known as “Title V agencies”; other health department offices; and national organizations and federal agencies that address injuries and/or child and adolescent health.
-: Services include: assistance by phone, mail, e-mail, and site visits; CSN Discuss, an e-mail list that provides a monthly bulletin on specific injury topics, weekly news updates, and an opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues; SafetyLit, a weekly bibliography of recent intentional and unintentional injury-related research; publications; training and workshops; and information updates on the CSN Website.
