-: The mission of the Division of Fire and Life Safety is to prevent the loss of life and property from fire and explosion.

-: The Division of Fire and Life Safety is composed of three Bureau’s: Life Safety Inspection; Plan Review; and Training and Education.

-: The Life Safety Inspection Bureau has Statewide jurisdiction for fire code enforcement and plan review authority.

-: The Plan Review Bureau is responsible for approving construction, repair, remodel, addition, or change of occupancy of any building or structure, or installation or change of fuel tanks before work is started.
