Main Activity Of Natco

-: NATCO aims to support, develop, and advance the knowledge of its members and to enhance the quality, effectiveness, and integrity of organ donation and transplantation with an aim to improve quality of life for patients with end stage organ and tissue failure while showing respect for those who have donated.

-: NATCO’s Professional Practice Committee is responsible for establishing the standards of practice for the professional transplant practitioner and will develop and publish guidelines for quality assurance programs.

-: NATCO membership includes procurement practitioners who manage care of the donor, consult with families in their donation decision, and arrange for the surgical recovery of organs and match donor organs to recipients; transplant practitioners who manage pre-treatment evaluation and care; hospital development specialists who determine the level of potential donations for hospitals; and public education specialists who work to increase donor awareness within the community.
