Main Activity Of New Hampshire Department Of Transportation
-: There are three divisions within DOT that carry out its mission.
-: The Division of Aeronautics, Rail and Transit: is responsible for working with aviation agencies at the federal, state and local levels to preserve and promote a system of airports necessary to guarantee the future of air transportation on New Hampshire; and is responsible for the state’s railroad, public transportation, bicycle and pedestrian, and ridesharing programs.
-: The Division of Operations is responsible: for the maintenance of state highways and bridges; for the maintenance and operation of the state’s turnpike system; and for other aspects of the highway system such as signs, traffic signals, pavement markings, snow removal, pavement resurfacing and staffing of the DOT’s Welcome Centers.
-: The Division of Project Development plans and designs transportation projects and oversees their construction.
