-: The OFPC trains over 50,000 career and volunteer firefighters and other emergency responders annually at the NYS Academy of Fire Science, Montour Falls and in satellite locations throughout the state.
-: The courses include all aspects of fire suppression, fire prevention, arson investigation, technical rescue, instructor and officer development, hazardous materials and emergency response to terrorism.
-: OFPC implements the statewide minimum training standards for firefighters.
-: Additionally, OFPC provides technical assistance to localities involved in fire investigations and also assists in the stabilization/mitigation of hazardous materials spills and in the development of mutual aid programs.
