Main Activity Of Parents Helping Parents
-: PHP’s mission is to help children with special needs receive the support and services they need to achieve their full potential by providing information, training, and resources to build strong families and improve systems of care.
-: PHP receives federal funding from the United States Department of Education as a Parent Training and Information Center that serves families of children and young adults from birth to age 22 with all disabilities: physical, cognitive, emotional, and learning.
-: PHP is the Family Resource Center for Santa Clara County’s Early Start Program, which provides parent-to-parent support for parents of infants and toddlers, birth to 36 months, with developmental delays and disabilities or who are at risk for them.
-: PHP helps families obtain appropriate education and services for their children with disabilities; works to improve education results for all children; trains and informs parents and professionals on a variety of topics; resolves problems between families and schools or other agencies; and connects children with disabilities to community resources that address their needs.
