Main Activity Of Public Health Council

-: The duties of the Public Health Council, which are set forth in law, are to adopt, amend, and rescind rules pertaining to public health.

-: The Public Health Council prescribes, by rule, the number and functions of divisions and bureaus in the ODH, as well as the qualifications of the chiefs of the divisions and bureaus.

-: The Public Health Council advises the director of health on matters affecting public health.

-: Members are appointed to seven year terms by the governor, with one term expiring at the end of each June.
