Main Activity Of Wyoming Public Health Laboratory

-: The WPHL is the diagnostic hub of the public health support network for both the state’s healthcare providers and the citizens of Wyoming.

-: WPHL provides a diversity of laboratory services and tests over 80,000 samples yearly, in order to assure protection for the health of Wyoming communities.

-: WPHL serves as the state’s advanced-level diagnostic facility to alert physicians and epidemiologists to outbreaks; provide technical advice; and recognize disease patterns and new pathogens.

-: WPHL consists of specialized testing sections including Chemical Testing, Microbiology Testing, and Bioterrorism Response Laboratories.
