-: In Addition, Asl Collects, Catalogs And Makes Available State Agency Publications; Administers Federal And State Grants For Public Library Construction And Services; Coordinates The Alaska Library Network Which Provides Interlibrary Loans, Cooperative Collection Development, And Resource Sharing Among Libraries; And The Talking Book Center Which Loans Equipment, Talking Books, Cassettes, Large Print, And Braille.

Holdings: 50,000 Plus Publications, Ranging From Turn-of-the-century Periodicals To Early Fiction And Rare Volumes On Early Explorations In Alaska And The Arctic; Microfiche Newspapers From Approximately 119 Alaska Communities; Alaska-related Historical Maps Such As Sanborn Maps, And Older Nautical Charts; And Approximately 8,000 Black And White Photographs On Microfiche. The Alaska State Library Also Has Access To Multiple Electronic Databases.
