-: DAIL mission is to strive to preserve individual dignity, self respect and independence on behalf of Kentucky’s elders and people with disabilities through programs and services offered by the Area Agencies on Aging and Independent Living.
-: DAIL focuses on issues and circumstances that create barriers to quality-of-life improvements for Kentucky’s seniors and people with disabilities and to remove those barriers whenever possible.
-: Programs and services of DAIL include: The Aging and Disability Resource Center; Adult Day Care and Assisted Living; Personal Care Attendant Program; Caregiver Support Services; State Health Insurance Program; Senior Community Service Employment Program; Nutrition Program for the Elderly; Health Promotion and Disease Prevention; Aging and Disability Resource Market; Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund; and Long Term Care Ombudsman Program.
-: In addition, DAIL helps coordinate services for elder Kentuckians and people with disabilities; helps Medicaid clients gain more control over services; and supports people with disabilities by providing assistance in arranging services designed to help them live independently and manage their own care.
