Main Activity Of Division Of Services For Aging And Adults With Physical Disabilities

-: DSAAPD is committed to the development and delivery of consumer-driven services which: maximize independence through individual choice; enable individuals to continue living active and productive lives; and protect those who may be vulnerable and at risk.

-: Interests of DSAAPD include: advocacy, training, and communication strategies concerning persons over age 60; service development and delivery; and public/private systems coordination.

-: Staff answers inquiries; provides advisory and reference services; conducts workshops; evaluates data; distributes publications and data compilations; makes referrals to other sources of information; and provides case management services to elderly and adults with physical disabilities.

-: The Long-term Care Ombudsman and Advocacy Programs Unit investigate and resolve complaints made by or on behalf of residents of long-term care facilities.
