Main Activity Of Early Childhood Education
-: ECE, which is geared toward children ages three to five with disabilities and developmental delays, ensures a seamless delivery of services in the natural environment, where the student would spend the majority of his/her day if he or she did not have a disability, and/or in the least restrictive environment.
-: The services children receive are determined through the pupil appraisal process and the individualized education plan.
-: An affiliated program, the Early Childhood Transition, is a carefully planned process of passage of a child and family from one set of services and programs into other services and programs, or in some cases, a transition out of service completely.
-: The ECE’s Transition Task Force addresses the concerns regarding the transitioning of children with disabilities from early intervention programs, (ages zero to two), to early childhood school-based programs at age three, and the transitions that take place during the early childhood years (ages three to five).
