Main Activity Of Mothernet
-: Since 1993, the MotherNet program has provided vital family education and support services, as well as training and technical assistance to other agencies, to promote healthy birth outcomes, strengthen families and equip parents with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence to give their children the healthiest possible start in life.
-: MotherNet has two programs in the United States, MotherNet Los Angeles and MotherNet/Healthy Families Loudoun, which deliver in-home case management services, health and parenting education, emotional and practical support, health access services, and links to other community resources to pregnant women and new parents who are at greatest risk of poor birth outcomes and subsequent poor outcomes in child health, development, safety and academic success.
-: MotherNet programs work toward eight essential goals that address a wide range of health and social factors that impact children, families and communities: children are born healthy; children stay healthy; children develop optimally; children live in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment; teen pregnancy rates are reduced; families are strengthened; family self-sufficiency is enhanced; and community capacity to support child development is strengthened.
