-: Pursuant to its mission and its Congressional mandates, NCMEC serves as a clearinghouse of information about missing and exploited children; operates a CyberTipline that the public may use to report Internet-related child sexual exploitation; provides technical assistance to individuals and law-enforcement agencies in the prevention, investigation, prosecution, and treatment of cases involving missing and exploited children; provides information about services and federal programs for missing and exploited children and their families; coordinates public and private programs that locate, recover or unite missing children with their families; uses public record databases to provide analytical support and technical assistance to law enforcement agencies in locating and recovering missing and exploited children and abductors; and provides assistance to families and law enforcement agencies nationally and internationally to locate and recover missing and exploited children.
