Main Activity Of National Cervical Cancer Coalition
-: Members of NCCC include women and family members/caregivers battling cervical cancer issues; women’s groups; cytotechnologists; pathologists; laboratories; technology companies; cancer researchers; hospitals; organizations providing cervical cancer screening programs; and other related associations, both national and worldwide.
-: Interests of the NCCC include cervical cancer prevention and outreach; new screening and treatment options; cervical cancer screening and follow-up programs; HPV disease; the limitations of the Pap smear; and the overwhelming success of the Pap smear as a screening tool for clinicians.
-: The NCCC places a very special and personal focus on providing outreach support to women and family members going through the battle against cancer; facilitates a national grassroots effort in all 50 states; and works with cervical cancer screening programs, women’s groups, the military, family planning groups, and others to enhance the review of cervical cancer disease detection, treatment programs, and support groups.
-: The NCCC publishes a newsletter and serves as a clearinghouse for brochures and pamphlets about cervical cancer, cancer care issues, and cervical disease.
