-: The NCA provides funding and implementation assistance to communities across the country in an effort to implement the Child Advocacy Center model.
-: The Children’s Advocacy Center movement began in Huntsville, Alabama, in 1985, through the efforts of then-District Attorney E.
-: Bud Cramer, who founded NCA in 1987.
-: The Children’s Advocacy Center concept has been so effective that is has been recognized at the national level as the “preferred way to do business.” Children’s Advocacy Centers serve abused children by coordinating investigative and intervention services; bringing together professionals and agencies as a multidisciplinary team; and creating a child-focused approach to child abuse cases.
