-: Working closely with biomedical researchers from around the world, scientists at NEPRC have made significant contributions to the development and practical use of non-human primate models of human disease.
-: Research areas of NEPRC include AIDS, cancer, neuropsychiatric disorders, drug addiction, and Parkinson’s Disease.
-: NEPRC pursues an integrated mission of research, service and training focusing on: basic and applied biomedical research in nonhuman primates to provide solutions for human health problems; the biology of nonhuman primates to promote their health, well-being and appropriate scientific use; service as a National resource to the biomedical community to expand research opportunities in nonhuman primates; and the training of young scientists for professional careers in biomedical research and primate biology.
