-: The Office of Drinking Water Quality has the mission to prevent disease and to protect the health and safety of the people of Rhode Island by ensuring the state’s drinking water supply quality.
-: The Office of Drinking Water Quality is responsible for maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to drinking water quality.
-: Programs are administered to reduce or prevent contamination of the state’s drinking water supplies; to develop and implement effective water system operations and management practices; to develop effective policies and systems to optimize water supply sustainability; and to create public awareness of and participation in support of safe drinking water.
