Main Activity Of Office Of Waste Management
-: The OWM has four programs that carry out its mission.
-: The Underground Storage Tank Management Program oversees the registration of underground storage tanks as well as the cleanup of leaking underground storage tanks.
-: The Waste Facilities Management Program regulates facilities that receive solid, hazardous and medical waste; regulates transporters of hazardous, medical and septage waste; and oversees the closure of active and inactive landfills.
-: The Site Remediation Program oversees the investigation and remediation of sites contaminated with hazardous materials and petroleum.
