-: The mission of the PCCD is to enhance the quality of criminal and juvenile justice systems; to facilitate the delivery of services to victims of crime; and to assist communities in developing and implementing strategies to reduce crime and victimization.
-: PCCD members bring a broad array of backgrounds and expertise and include judges, members of the legislature and the Governor’s administration, representatives of law enforcement and victim service organizations, as well as private citizens.
-: Working closely with the Governor’s office, the PCCD helps coordinate the work of Commonwealth and local criminal justice agencies to increase communication, effectiveness and efficiency.
-: PCCD provides training to deputy sheriffs and constables and technical assistance to communities and organizations to promote crime and delinquency prevention efforts.
