-: RIGEC is one of a national network of geriatric education centers supported, in part, by the Bureau of Health Professions, Health Resources and Services Administration of the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
-: The mission of RIGEC is to help prepare health care and human service professionals, faculty, and students to better meet the physical, functional, and psychosocial needs of older adults.
-: To that end, RIGEC offers interdisciplinary geriatric education for healthcare and human service professionals on relevant topics and training in geriatric content and team process to interdisciplinary clinical teams and community-based groups.
-: RIGEC is a consortium comprised of three institutions of higher education and a community-based advocacy group.
