-: The Thorne Ecological Institute’s mission is: to introduce the largest number of young people possible to the natural world through the Project Bear program (Building Environmental Awareness and Respect); and to immerse young people in hands-on experiences of the relationship between humans and nature through the Thorne Natural Science School.
