-: What began as a local Washington effort to help women help themselves has become a multi-faceted women’s employment organization, recognized nationally for its skills training models, technical assistance, and advocacy for women workers.
-: WOW national programs include: the Family Economic Self-Sufficiency Project, a project to provide resources and technical assistance to State and local organizations to implement policies and programs that help low-income families achieve economic self-sufficiency; the National Women’s Workforce Network, which is comprised of organizations committed to increasing women and girl access to well-paid work; the Elder Economic Security Initiative; and public education and advocacy on a national level to advance legislative and administrative reforms.
