-: RTIA performs the following tasks involving asbestos and lead: investigates complaints; processes notifications for and inspects abatement projects; conducts licensing inspections; and provides technical assistance and public education and outreach.
-: RTIA provides public health assessments; health consultations; exposure investigations; community involvement activities; health education; follow-up investigations and studies; and other activities that are related to the exposure of humans to hazardous substances in the environment.
-: RTIA investigates indoor air quality complaints and provides technical assistance, public education, and outreach on indoor air quality issues.
-: RTIA provides emergency response to radiation leaks or accidents, technical assistance, public education, and outreach on radiological and radon issues; registers and inspects all facilities with sources of ionizing radiation; and performs mammography equipment inspections and certification.
